At least 20 victims have been wounded in an active shooter situation in San Bernardino, California, according to local law enforcement officials.
Reports first surfaced around 2:15 p.m. ET of an incident in the area of the Inland Regional Center, a large social services complex. The official San Bernardino Country Sheriff’s Department Twitter account confirmed an active shooter in the area.
At least 20 victims have been reported down, but there might be more, according to the San Bernardino Fire Department.
The Los Angeles Times reports that police are searching for more than one gunman. At least one suspect is dressed in tactical gear and “heavily armed”, officials confirmed. The situation is still considered active and law enforcement officials are urging the public to avoid the area of Orange Show Road / Waterman Avenue near Park Center Circle.
